SUMMARY

I am a motivated and driven person with a high degree of technical aptitude. I am a volunteer developer for the Ubuntu Project. This has given me valuable experience of working in a team and collaborating with people around the world to produce professional results on a 12 month release cycle. It also helped me develop my skills with bug and fault triaging as well as giving me more experience with backup and source control systems.

I have a passion for IT and am a member of the British Computer Society and the FSFE.
I have completed a semester of my CCNA and hope to finish this in the near future.

I have studied for two years for a BTEC National Diploma in IT System Support covering among other things Networking, End User Support and Computer Maintenance and Troubleshooting.

Through this I was given the opportunity to complete in the 2008 UK Skills Challenge. This is a national competition, drawing entrants from across the country, which seeks to recognise those which show a high level of vocational skills. I successfully gained 1st place and will now compete for the UK in the 2009 World Skills Challenge. This experience has taught me how to push myself to improve my skills even further.
